1960 SILVER MARK VI ALTO SAX

Description

Up for auction is my beautiful 1960 RARE silver Mark VI alto sax; with the original case. The horn is in excellent condition. Whether you're a jazz or a classical player, you'll love this alto. Body is in excellent condition. It still has about 90-95% of the silver plate on it; with the gold wash bell. The pads, springs, keys, and all corks are in great shape. It needs nothing. All the pads are seated fine. It blows with a beautiful sound from the low Bb right up to the high F. Great for jazz, classical, rock and funk.
It has the most versatile sound in the history of Selmer saxes.
This horn can play with a sweet whisper-like sound; or with a load of power to cut through a band. The intonation is wonderful; bottom to top of the alto.
The ergonomics on the horn fit like a glove to your hands; so easy to get out whatever you want to play.
It will come ready to take to a gig. It comes with the original case as well that works fine. It's the horn I've been taking to gigs and playing. At age 67, it's time for me to start winding down and concentrate on my retirement needs. If you'd like to hear the alto, I've included two links from recent gigs.
