Vintage Martin Alto Saxophone

Solid vintage alto looking for a new life. This is a 'Handcraft' stencil horn made by Martin with "Melody Master" on the bell. Serial #16948. Previous owner played in University marching band and mentioned this horn having excellent projection and tone.
No missing parts. Soldered tone holes. Split bell keys and non- articulated G#. Lacquer shows significant wear. Some small dents throughout, especially in bottom bow, but no signs of severe trauma to the horn body, looks straight and original. Appears to be a small fracture in the Eb key guard/cage, and some previous soldering repair on keyguard. Neck shows no signs of pull-down. All keys and rollers moving freely, all screws and rods turn. Lack of attrition on strap ring and key pearls suggest this horn had been doing more sitting than playing. Pads are old, horn has not been playtested. Buyer should be aware that this horn will need a repad at the minimum to play correctly.
